If there is one thing the internet has given us it is the ability to buy a pack of Cathedral City Chedder whilst lying in bed on a Sunday morning… We joke! What it has actually gifted us is access to the aggregate musings of the entire globe; with every subject dissected and discussed ad infinitum. Whilst having the ability to know the heritage and provenance of anything within seconds is clearly a great privilege, it can remove the mystery and satisfaction from discovering something oblique and overshadows your own imprint on the item. Well guess what - we don't have a clue about the heritage or purpose of these wonderful clay bluebirds beyond their origin in America and a rough notion of their age (multiple decades). What we do know is that their dusty blue paint and exposed material clay aesthetic is blissfully appealing, with the weighty presence and compact size adding to their charm. Reclaimed and looking for love. Fly!
