Pharmacy Bottle Vase

Pharmaceutical packaging is one of the great unsung mediums of the design world. The ability to deliver information in a clean and functional way is a significant challenge (see also Jock Kinneir and Margaret Calvert's classic road signage) and when coupled with striking logos you have a brilliant combination. By no means a contemporary trend, vintage pharmacy items are also a much sought after commodity - so these Ceramic vases are an amazing twist which brings the old and the new together for an utterly desirable piece. A porcelain take on a classic 1956 pharmacy bottle, the interior is glazed whilst the exterior has been left unglazed to showcase the 'Los Angeles Pharmacal Co, Los Angeles Cal' text and Mexican coat of arms. Brought to us by a lovely group of artisans in Portland, this porcelain piece makes a great vase or general decorative item. Prescribed!
